Acquired via trade during the 2023 draft from the Detroit Lions, Swift set a career high 1,049 yards in his lone season with the Eagles, finishing fifth in the NFL and earning his first Pro Bowl appearance.
But despite being known for his pass catching ability, the 25-year-old had a career low 214 receiving yards as the Philadelphia offense were unable to get their backs involved in the passing game.
Per ESPN, the Eagles reportedly made an attempt to bring Swift back before free agency began, but he elected to go to the open market.
The #Eagles attempted to re-sign D'Andre Swift before the tampering period with an offer, but Swift waited it out — and cashes in.

Now, he joins a Chicago offense that will be revamped under new coordinator Shane Waldron and expected number one overall pick Caleb Williams at quarterback. Swift becomes the second Eagle to join the Bears this offseason, joining safety Kevin Byard.
Swift’s new deal sets the market with players such as Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley, and Tony Pollard expected to get bigger deals. Barkley has been linked to the Eagles according to multiple reporters.
