Corner Concerns
ITB: Navigating Through Biggest Eagles Questions
Uncertainty at cornerback and offensive line injuries are the current biggest obstacles for the 7-2 Philadelphia Eagles.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan discussed the latest Eagles developments ahead of their primetime Week 11 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Geoff Mosher: “There’s a reason the Packers gave up on him and the Ravens gave up on him, so I didn’t have high expectations, but I also didn’t think he was going to up and leave.”
Adam Caplan: “He looked pretty good, from what we understand, in practice. Because it was a major knee injury, you never know. It could have swelled up the next day…The fact that they put him on the injury report on Sunday, obviously something happened and he wasn’t feeling right…He needs this time away, let’s hope he’s doing okay, we wish him well. They were definitely counting on him to contribute.”
Cooper DeJean
Mosher: “Their options are either try to continue to hide Adoree’ Jackson and see if you can get away with it and if you can’t you move DeJean outside and play Michael Carter II at nickel.”
Caplan: “I would go with Coop in a minute. As much as Vic doesn’t want to do it because he’s remarkable at nickel, you’re trying to win a Super Bowl.”
Jakorian Bennett
Caplan: “He’ll absolutely be playing if he’s ready. They traded for Bennett, he had trouble with the system, he had not played in the system. He wasn’t comfortable with it and then he got hurt, he has been out for a while…It’s just where they’re out. They have gone out of their way not to play (Kelee) Ringo. Bennett’s here, he can run, his tape was pretty good when he was healthy last year.”
Mosher: “Adoree’ Jackson might start, they have been hiding him well, but if he gives up three or four catches in the first quarter, I think the leash short and you’re going to see Bennett in there.”
Offensive Line
Mosher: “Having the entire offensive line except for Jordan Mailata on the injury report as limited for a walkthrough was not a great sign, but it’s better than them not. The way Lane Johnson was really struggling and Cam Jurgens we haven’t really seen, I guess it was a good indication they were at least limited.”
Caplan: “Tyler Steen’s injury is new, it’s an oblique. We’ll have to watch this one, but at least he participated.”
