ITB: Starters Nearing Return to the Field?
A lengthy injury report for the Philadelphia Eagles might be the biggest hurdle for the team to clear in order to snap a three-game losing streak.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan discussed the biggest injuries plaguing the team.

GETTY IMAGES: Philadelphia Eagles LG Landon Dickerson’s practice window has opened after being placed on injured reserve following Week 1.
DeVonta Smith
Geoff Mosher: “DeVonta not only has the hamstring, but also a toe [injury]. Toe injuries are bad, especially for wide receivers, and they linger for a long time.”
Adam Caplan: “DeVonta has had a hamstring issue for 10 weeks, I think that has been lost on some people. He was moving around last week in his return-to-play protocol.”
Landon Dickerson
Caplan: “A bone bruise, that’s a painful injury. You have to get the blood flow and swelling down. That’s great that he’s out there, they need mass and size on their offensive line in the worst way. It is so obvious how small they are on the interior.”
Mosher: “If Dickerson can play, that’s very good meaning at least you get some mass back. But we can’t ignore the reality that Dickerson hasn’t played well in quite a bit going back to last year.”
Jalen Hurts
Mosher: “He came out of the Rams game when the offense was coming off the field and he got on the bike. We knew something was up and then it just went away until last week he showed up [on the injury report] with the calf injury…We might have an answer as to why you have seen the least amount of running from Jalen Hurts than you have ever seen in a three-week span.”
Caplan: “Calf injuries, if you keep playing on it, they’re going to linger.”
Jalyx Hunt
Caplan: “I just like that it didn’t sound dire. He’s obviously not playing this week, but we’ll see what they do.”
Mosher: “One of the positive injury news was based on how it looked when he went down, but he’ll be pushing to get back sooner.”
