GETTY IMAGES: Eagles TE Albert Okwuegbunam returns to the team on a one-year deal.

Okwuegbunam was acquired via trade in September of 2023 during the 53-man roster cutdowns.

However, the former third round pick could not find the field in a tight end room led by Dallas Goedert, Jack Stoll, and Grant Calcaterra.

Even when Goedert missed three games due to injury, Okwuegbunam played limited snaps. He would finish the year with no catches and one target in four games, finishing the year on injured reserve.

Though Okwuegbunam is nowhere near a lock for the 53-man in 2024, he becomes the first unrestricted free agent to re-sign with the Eagles ahead of the free agency period in March.
