Market for McKee
ITB: Eagles Can Take Advantage of Weak QB Availability
The Philadelphia Eagles could be in position to further tinker with their quarterback room.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan identified the available quarterbacks in the 2026 offseason and discussed if Tanner McKee could be on the move.

Malik Willis
Geoff Mosher: “I’m fascinated to see what a guy like Malik Willis gets, who shined in a very limited dose for the Packers. He clearly did better with the Packers than he did with Tennessee. He had good coaching, good infrastructure around him.”
Tanner McKee
Adam Caplan: “The Eagles have tremendous leverage. This is just my opinion, but I don’t see them trading for less than a one. I know the Washington game wasn’t good…he’s not an athlete but his mobility has improved greatly.”
Mosher: “My initial thought until recently was that I could see McKee go for a top 50 [pick]. But to your point, with so many teams needing quarterbacks it would be very Howie-like to let that first wave sign and then find those teams that still need a starting quarterback that couldn’t get one of those and hold them to the fire.”
Trey Lance
Mosher: “If you’re (Sean) Mannion and you want to bring in a guy that is comfortable with your scheme, if you’re keeping McKee and you’re looking for a number three, Trey Lance might be that guy. He was drafted by the 49ers, played in the Shanahan offense. He probably has to show growth himself, but he does know the offense.”
Caplan: “He is just so raw. He has never been able to be with a staff that can develop him. You need someone to want the guy. He has good size, moves well enough, has a big arm.”
Jimmy Garoppolo
Mosher: “Garoppolo might be more of a good backup at this point. If you’re keeping McKee, I’m not sure if you’re bringing in Garoppolo to be a three…If you lost McKee, he would be an ideal number two because of his knowledge of the offense.”
Caplan: “This offense that they’re going to run is timing-based, a couple of guys have played in it before.”
