ITB: Which Eagles DTs Could Receive Contract Extensions?
A weaker defensive tackle free agency class gives the Philadelphia Eagles an opportunity to retain their in-house players
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher talk potential extensions for their current crop of interior d-linemen.

Eagles Defensive Tackles
Adam Caplan: “I expect two to get an extension. I don’t put a time limit on these, it could be in June, could be in August…It sometimes comes down to who can get done first.”
Moro Ojomo
Geoff Mosher: “You would think Ojomo could be done without a whole lot of consternation because three years in, he has only been a starting type player for a year…He has told me in the locker room one day that he does not ever want to play for another defensive coordinator other than Vic Fangio.”
Caplan: “He did change agencies, so did Jordan Davis. When you’re doing that, you want to get paid.”
Jalen Carter
Mosher: “Have you gotten that vibe that people would think there would be a risk with Jalen Carter, because of the injuries to his shoulder, but also because of coming out of Georgia with some of the baggage, suspended for spitting last year, and then all of a sudden giving a guy like that market-resetting money.”
Caplan: “That’s where structure is very important. We know the Eagles do a specific structure…They do cash over cap every year. It’s just great accounting.”
