‘Very Interested in Him’
ITB: Intel on UDFAs
Following the conclusion of the NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles continued to add to their 90-man roster.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan gave intel on the team’s undrafted free agent class.

Montrell Johnson
Geoff Mosher: “5’11, 212, big powerful guy. At the combine, he ran a 4.41.”
Adam Caplan: “Montrell Johnson has really good size. You wouldn’t call him a blazer. Three years at UF [University of Florida], you like. This is a guy at a major university, the SEC.”
Darius Cooper
Caplan: “I’m very interested in him. He stood out as a 4.0 student, First Team FCS All-American, put up major numbers. He’s not a speedster, tough after the catch…He has a good build, very competitive.”
Hollin Pierce
Caplan: “When you look at his size, a long-time starter for Rutgers. He was a combine invite…Not a great athlete. He has to get stronger.”
Mosher: “6’8, 340 with a wingspan of 88 and a quarter.”
Lance Dixon
Caplan: “He’s under 6’2, 230. If you look at the situation at inside ‘backer, it’s (Zack) Baun, it’s Trot Jr. [Jeremiah Trotter Jr., (Nakobe) Dean coming back from a major knee injury, Jihaad Campbell is coming back from major shoulder surgery.”
Maxen Hook
Caplan: “You keep four safeties. It’s highly unlikely he’ll make it if everybody’s healthy…long-time starter [at Toledo]…It’s going to be hard for him but it was hard for Reed Blankenship.”
Mosher: “I wonder if he has any nickel versatility at 6’0, 202.”
