ITB: Latest State of the Roster
The Philadelphia Eagles initial 53-man roster is soon to be finalized, with injuries and preseason performance becoming a factor.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan discussed the recent roster news and previewed the final preseason game.

Johnny Wilson
Geoff Mosher: “There is no doubt about it; He was going to be a lock to make the 53 for not only his contributions on offense, but also special teams and his role as the lunch pail, dirty work, blocking receiver.”
Adam Caplan: “The last two weeks, he was really good…the big [value] was blocking receiver, that’s huge.”
Dorian Thompson-Robinson
Mosher: “I personally don’t even think DTR has to play. I think they know what they have in him, but he probably will. I would assume he will play, if not the first quarter, a little bit of it and then it’s going to be the Kyle McCord show.
Brett Toth
Caplan: “The question is do they play Brett Toth who could be starting Week 1? I wouldn’t do it.”
Mosher: “If you’re not going to play your top two guys off the bench, we’ll figure out tonight who the top two guys are. If Kendall Lamm or Matt Pryor doesn’t play tonight, that’s a pretty good indication that they’re on the 53. If Brett Toth does play tonight, I’ll be less optimistic that he’s on the 53.”
Azeez Ojulari
Mosher: “I wouldn’t play him at all if he’s on the team.”
Caplan: “Not only that, if they were going to try to trade him there’s no way I’m playing him because this guy has a major injury history.”
