With the 22nd Pick…

ITB's Fifth Annual Mock Draft

by

Inside The Birds podcast hosts Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan were joined by Andrew DiCecco for the fifth annual Inside The Birds Mock Draft, complete with all 32 selections and background on the prospects.

Kool-Aid McKinstry

Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry could be the best player available for the Philadelphia Eagles at pick No. 22

  1. Chicago Bears: Caleb Williams, QB, USC

Adam Caplan: “Love the arm strength, can make any throw, good solid body.”

  1. Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Andrew DiCecco: “He is a dual threat. You worry about his frame and his ability to withstand those hits, but he is a highly efficient threat and he has proved that.”

  1. New England Patriots: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

Geoff Mosher: “No matter what, I feel like Drake Maye is going in this slot.”

  1. Arizona Cardinals:  Marvin Harrison Jr, WR, Ohio State

Caplan: “The term I have heard about Marvin Harrison Jr. is ‘Gold Jacket.’ He is really the only potential Hall of Fame player for this draft.”

  1. Los Angeles Chargers: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

DiCecco: “Explosive, really good after the catch. He is going to help out Justin Herbert and add a new dimension to the offense.”

  1. New York Giants: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

Mosher: “It has to be a playmaker here.”

  1. Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

Caplan: “Alt is seen as the safest left tackle in this draft.”

  1. Atlanta Falcons: Byron Murphy, DT, Texas

DiCecco: “It is so hard to find interior pass rush in this class, if you are Atlanta you need some help there.”

  1. Chicago Bears: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

Mosher: “They are running a 4-3, if they are taking an edge rusher he is most likely going to be a down lineman who plays with his hand in the dirt.”

  1. New York Jets: Tailese Fuaga, OL, Oregon State

Caplan: “He is so strong and powerful, he will line up anywhere they need him.”

  1. Minnesota Vikings: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

DiCecco: “They need a corner, he is my top rated corner in the draft and it is not even close.”

  1. Denver Broncos: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama

Mosher: “They need so many different positions, but they have not had an elite pass rusher since Von Miller.”

  1. Las Vegas Raiders: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan

Caplan: “They are going to take the need pick here.”

  1. New Orleans Saints: Olu Fashanu, OT, Penn State

DiCecco: “You have to take a tackle, you don’t want to take someone you plan on plugging in at guard this high.”

  1. Indianapolis Colts: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

Mosher: “I have a tough time seeing the GM get out of the comfort zone we know from him.”

  1. Seattle Seahawks: Johnny Newton, DT, Illinois

Caplan: “They are in a spot where there is no edge rusher. What they can do is take the next interior defensive lineman who will go.”

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Laitu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

DiCecco: “We are talking about edge rusher, he is coming off the board now.”

  1. Cincinnati Bengals: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

Mosher: “It would be a beautiful thing: Bowers catching passes from Joe Burrow surrounded by Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.”

  1. Los Angeles Rams: JC Latham, OT, Alabama

Caplan: “I think you go with the best player on the board and that is Latham.”

  1. Pittsburgh Steelers: Troy Fautanu, OL, Washington

DiCecco: “Very athletic, versatile, played left tackle at college. Probably a right tackle at the pro level that can play some guard early on if you need him to.”

  1. Miami Dolphins: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

Mosher: “They were aging at corner last year, I think they would be more infatuated of the athletic testing of Wiggins.”

  1. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

Caplan: “We are going best player available at a position of need. McKinstry is recovered from his injury.”

  1. Minnesota Vikings: Michael Penix Jr, QB, Washington

DiCecco: “It is going to have to be Penix when you look at what he can bring from an athletic arm talent.”

  1. Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

Mosher: “I am going Guyton if they go offensive line.”

  1. Green Bay Packers: Cooper DeJean, DB, Iowa

Caplan: “From talking to personnel people, he is one of the top five players in terms of this draft. It is just what is he?”

  1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Graham Barton, OL, Duke

DiCecco: “He can play right tackle, center, or guard. This is a home run pick at this point in the draft.”

  1. Arizona Cardinals: Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State

Mosher: “Gannon had Reddick in Philadelphia and were interested in acquiring him. If you were going to compare one of these guys to him, you would go with Chop Robinson.”

  1. Buffalo Bills: Brian Thomas, WR, LSU

Caplan: “Thomas is going to be their X receiver to replace Gabe Davis.”

  1. Detroit Lions: Darius Robinson, EDGE, Missouri

DiCecco: “He is going to go at the end of the first round.”

  1. Baltimore Ravens: Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona

Mosher: “They are the Ravens. They take the best overall player and that is Morgan.”

  1. San Francisco 49ers: Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia

Caplan: “They are still looking for a corner to start opposite of Charvarius Ward.”

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

DiCecco: “They need a left tackle.”
