Minor Injuries For Ojomo, Cleveland

Eagles Suffered Concussions; Full Recoveries Expected

Less than 24 hours after the harrowing scene of two Eagles leaving Lincoln Financial Field on a stretcher, the team reported positive developments on each.

Both wide receiver Tyrie Cleveland and rookie defensive tackle Moro Ojomo were diagnosed with concussions, per the team, while Cleveland also has a neck strain.

Cleveland and Ojomo are competing to make the 53-man roster, and both are having good camps. The injuries occurred against the Browns on Thursday night in the second preseason game.

Both Eagles are expected to make a full recovery, the team statement said.

Also in the game, cornerback Zech McPhearson tore his Achilles tendon and is out for the year. Several other Eagles exited with injuries.

The Eagles praised their medical staff for “quickly diagnosing each player’s condition” along with administering medical care “with precision.”
