by , and

Inside The Birds podcast hosts Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan joined with InsideTheBirds.com’s Andrew DiCecco for the fourth annual Inside The Birds Mock Draft, complete with all 32 selections and background on the prospects.

Bryce Young

The Carolina Panthers appear to be leaning towards Alabama QB Bryce Young with the first overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft

1. Carolina Panthers: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

Adam Caplan: “If they don’t draft Bryce Young, it would be the biggest ruse in NFL history…The only issue is his body type, but they are okay with it.”

2. Houston Texans: Will Anderson, EDGE, Alabama

Andrew DiCecco: “You have a defensive minded head coach, so that fit would make sense.”

3. Arizona Cardinals: Tyree Wilson, EDGE, Texas Tech

Geoff Mosher: “He might be the best edge rusher in the draft. A lot of personnel people I talk to say they really like his tape.”

4. Indianapolis Colts:  C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State

Caplan: “If Chris Ballard passes on Stroud, there is something wrong.”

5. Seattle Seahawks: Jalen Carter, IDL, Georgia

DiCecco: “They added Dre’Mont Jones in free agency, but I think they are going to add to that by getting Jalen Carter. That’s a no-brainer to me.”

6. Detroit Lions: Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois

Mosher: “I’m going to mock Witherspoon to the Lions based on marrying the identity of this coach and franchise now with the prospect and what we know about hin.”

7. Las Vegas Raiders: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon

Caplan: “Their corners can’t line up. They are really bad there. To me, this might be where you talk about Gonzalez.”

8. Atlanta Falcons:  Myles Murphy, EDGE, Clemson

DiCecco: “Looking at their defensive line, Calais Campbell is nearly 40. They have to go edge rusher here.”

9. Chicago Bears: Lukas Van Ness, EDGE, Iowa

Mosher: “I think he’ll fit that scheme really nicely, he’s multiple.”

10. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES: Peter Skoronski, OL, Northwestern

Caplan: “He’s one of the elite players in this draft. Right guard is a hole, there is no doubt.”

11. Tennessee Titans: Broderick Jones, OT, Georgia

DiCecco: “He really fits their DNA, Mike Vrabel in particular. Just a nasty player, pro-ready guy.”

12. Houston Texans: Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida

Mosher: “I think this franchise is looking to really turn some heads after being in the doldrums and going through what they went through with Deshaun Watson.”

13. New York Jets: Paris Johnson, OT, Ohio State

Caplan: “This card should be turned in 20 seconds. They have not had a good offensive line in years and this is one way to build it.”

14. New England Patriots: Joey Porter Jr., CB, Penn State

DiCecco: “When you look at Jonathan Jones and Jack Jones, that’s just not good enough. Joey Porter Jr. is a good fit.”

15. Green Bay Packers: Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah

Mosher: “Where else do they go here? He’s an all-around, everything tight end.”

16. Washington Commanders: Deonte Banks, CB, Maryland

Caplan: “Corner is a need for them, they could use an upgrade.”

17. Pittsburgh Steelers: BJ Ojulari, EDGE, LSU

DiCecco: “He doesn’t give you much in run defense, but he does rush the passer quite a bit.”

18. Detroit Lions: Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan

Mosher: “I can see Dan Campbell falling in love with that kind of a guy.”

19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky

Caplan: “This is a perfect situation for him. Let him learn year one and get him back on track.”

20. Seattle Seahawks: John Michael Schmitz, C, Minnesota

DiCecco: “A center would be interesting. John Michael Schmitz is who I’m going with here.”

21. Los Angeles Chargers: Bijan Robinson, RB, Texas

Mosher: “I am looking at the economics of this. They have to pay Justin Herbert and they will not be able to pay Austin Ekeler.”

22. Baltimore Ravens: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State

Caplan: “He’s the best player on the board. I get last year’s tape was not good because of his hamstring, All of the coaches we spoke to are just in love with his competitiveness and his ability to separate.”

23. Minnesota Vikings: Nolan Smith, EDGE, Georgia

DiCecco: “He would be great value for them.”

24. Jacksonville Jaguars: Darnell Wright, OT, Tennessee

Mosher: “That’s my guy. I’m actually surprised he is still on the board at this point.”

25. New York Giants: Jordan Addison, WR, USC

Caplan: “He is a favorite of receiver coaches I have spoken with. He tracks the ball well, is explosive. Guys love his competitiveness. He starts day one on the outside.”

26. Dallas Cowboys: Michael Mayer, TE, Notre Dame

DiCecco: “Running back seems like a Dallas pick, but I’m going to go tight end.”

27. Buffalo Bills: Brian Branch, S, Alabama

Mosher: “I think Branch would make sense here.”

28. Cincinnati Bengals: Luke Musgrave, TE, Oregon State

Caplan: “He’s an all-around tight end, he makes a ton of sense.”

29. New Orleans Saints: Will McDonald, EDGE, Iowa State

DiCecco: “I like his speed off of the edge. He is a little undersized, but he can fit in a variety of schemes. I like his hand usage. I don’t know if he is set to play right away, but I like his upside.”

30. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES: Calijah Kancey, DT, Pittsburgh

Mosher: “He has explosion, has what the Eagles look for in interior defensive linemen. We know they looked at him a lot in the offseason.”

31. Kansas City Chiefs: Keion White, EDGE, Georgia Tech

Caplan: “This is a need for the future and now. Mike Danna is a sub package rusher and Charles Omenihu is on a two-year deal with a one-year structure.”
