Birds Unveil 2026 Schedule

by

The where-and-when of the Eagles’ 2026 schedule has finally been unveiled.

To no surprise, given the franchise’s rich history, consistent viability and draw, the Eagles have no shortage of prime-time matchups, drawing five. There’s even an international game included in the 2026 slate.

All eyes, it appears, will be on the Eagles.

On Thursday, the NFL conducted its annual, league-wide schedule release, revealing a generally favorable outlook for the Eagles.

Of course, it isn’t without imperfections. There’s always quibbles. The Eagles will play on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. The team will rack up the ninth-most air miles in the NFL. The Eagles will also face four teams coming off bye weeks. They’ll have their share of quick turnarounds as well, specifically in the early going.

Following a Week 3 Monday night outing in Chicago, the Eagles will host a dangerous Rams team. The Rams will be traveling across the country for a 1 p.m. start, though, so perhaps it cancels out. Then there’s Week 6, where the Eagles — returning from London — host an upstart Carolina Panthers team coming off a bye week.

The schedule also has its advantages, too. For instance, following the Week 5 London trip, the Eagles won’t have to board a plane until Week 12, when they head to Dallas for the Thanksgiving clash. In what will be an intriguing matchup on Christmas Eve, the Eagles will face the Houston Texans with the benefit of an extra day of rest. The Eagles will be coming off a Saturday game, while the Texans will be coming off a Sunday afternoon game.

After a season of not having any back-to-back home games, the Eagles will have three this year.

The Eagles face a daunting stretch in Weeks 15-17 (Seahawks, Texans, 49ers), but will arrive in Santa Clara, Calif., fresh off a 10-day layoff.

Minor, but relevant: The Eagles avoid traveling to Chicago in the winter, where the frigid temperatures can sometimes act as an equalizer, instead visiting in September.

While unideal not having a bye week on the heels of the London trip, there is a different way to look at the team’s Week 10 bye week. The Eagles will be fresh off a three-game NFC East run, divisional bouts that typically take its toll. In turn, they’ll have the benefit of extra rest ahead of what’s a uber-physical matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. At that stage of the season, even a miniscule advantage can make a considerable difference.
