Birds Ink WR Hollywood Brown To 1-Year Pact
The Eagles wasted little time atoning for the free agent loss of wide receiver Jahan Dotson — who last week joined the Atlanta Falcons — by signing former Chiefs wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to a one-year deal early Tuesday afternoon, a league source confirmed the initial report from Jordan Schultz.
Schultz reported that the deal is worth “up to” $6.5 million.

The Eagles added WR depth, signing former Ravens first-round pick Marquise “Hollywood” Brown to a 1-year deal.
Brown, 28, reeled in 49 passes for 587 yards and five touchdowns last season over 16 games (six starts). Brown’s receiving total placed him second on the Chiefs’ 2025 leaderboard, behind only tight end Travis Kelce. His first season in Kansas City was limited to the final two games of the regular season, as a preseason injury sidelined him for nearly the entirety of the 2024 season.
A first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2019 NFL Draft, Brown in his three seasons proved dependable and explosive, his breakthrough 2021 campaign showcasing the completeness of his game. For perspective, Brown pulled in 91 of 146 targets for 1,008 yards and six touchdowns.
Sandwiched in between the two aforementioned stints was a two-year stay with the Arizona Cardinals, who traded away the No. 23 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft to acquire Brown in a trade that sent shockwaves across the league. Brown, who appeared in 26 games for Arizona, provided modest production relative to expectations.
At his best, Brown, 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, made his hay as a twitchy, dynamic pass-catcher who pounced on mismatches. The Oklahoma product hasn’t traditionally served as a volume option in any of his stops — and he most certainly won’t be in Philadelphia — though that won’t be necessary.
One attribute that Brown brings from team to team comes at a premium: speed. The diminutive wideout still has game-changing speed that defenses must still take into account. The Eagles can lean into that in other ways, as well; Brown’s speed could prove invaluable in terms of spacing and drawing away coverage.
In Philadelphia, Brown joins a receiving corps that includes Brown, Smith, Darius Cooper, Britain Covey, Johnny Wilson, Quez Watkins and Danny Gray.
