Cam Jurgens Absent From First Birds Practice Post-Bye
PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles returned to the practice field following an extended layoff, with several new faces gracing the stretch line.
Taking part in their first practice with the team were CB Jaire Alexander (No. 18), CB Michael Carter (No. 35) and OLB Jaelan Phillips (No. 50).

ITB PHOTO/ANDREW DICECCO: Eagles EDGE Nolan Smith (3), and newcomers CB Jaire Alexander (18) and Jaelan Phillips (50) practiced on Thursday.
Returning to practice for the Eagles were WR A.J. Brown (hamstring) and CB Adoree’ Jackson (concussion). Running back Saquon Barkley, who tweaked his groin on a 28-yard run late in the Eagles’ 38-20 Week 8 win, also practiced.
Two defenders who’ve had their practice window opened – CB Jakorian Bennett and OLB Nolan Smith – were practicing. So was C/G Willie Lampkin, whose 21-day window was opened ahead of practice. Lampkin, a rookie free agent signing of the Rams, was claimed off waivers during cutdowns. He sustained a knee/ankle injury during the preseason and was ultimately placed on injured reserve.
The Lampkin news became more notable once it was learned shortly thereafter that C Cam Jurgens (knee) wasn’t practicing. It’s worth noting that Jurgens wasn’t spotted during the media attended portion of practice.
The official injury report comes out later today.
