Few Days Away…
Prep For Season Opener Vs. Cowbots Continues
PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles on Sunday began preparation for the season-opener, with the first practice of the week accompanied by generally positive news on the injury front.
For starters, left guard Landon Dickerson (knee) participated in individual drills and continues to trend in the right direction as Week 1 looms. Dickerson, again sporting a black sleeve on his right leg, was also part of the field goal unit.
Rookie S Drew Mukuba (hamstring) practiced in some capacity after being sidelined for a couple weeks. His return is encouraging, perhaps putting him on track to play Thursday night against Dallas.

Eagles LG Landon Dickerson (knee) is on the right path to play Thursday night in the season opener vs. Dallas.
The early portion of practice that reporters observed also indicated that QB Tanner McKee (thumb) wasn’t practicing, leaving some degree of uncertainty regarding his Week 1 availability. If McKee can’t go, the newly acquired Sam Howell would assume the No. 2 role behind Jalen Hurts.
Roster moves: The Eagles on Friday placed G/C Willie Lampkin on Injured Reserve, opening a spot on the 53-man roster. On Sunday, the team announced that G Kenyon Green had been signed from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. The team also re-signed WR Terrace Marshall to the practice squad. Marshall was released from the practice squad two days ago.
Number upgrade: Former Raiders CB Jakorian Bennett began his Eagles tenure earlier this month wearing No. 49. Following cutdowns, Bennett ditched the number and switched to No. 41. But in the aftermath of releasing practice squad CB Eli Ricks, who wore No. 23, Bennett had an opportunity for a significant number upgrade. Naturally, he pounced.
