Hamstring Keeps Rookie S Shelved
PHILADELPHIA – A week before opening night clash with the rivaled Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles returned to the practice field to close out what’s been a busy stretch of transactions.
In terms of practice status, G Landon Dickerson (knee) and WR A.J. Brown practiced – in some capacity, anyway – for the second consecutive day. WR DeVonta Smith (groin) was also a participant. CB Kelee Ringo, who sustained a quad injury on the final day of training camp that sidelined him from the preseason finale, was also a participant.
No practice again for rookie S Drew Mukuba (hamstring), who was spotted working on a side field. The Eagles fortified their depth at the position by adding veteran Marcus Epps to the practice squad. Epps suffered an ACL injury in Week 3 of last season. As for Willie Lampkin, the undrafted center claimed off waivers from the Rams, he appeared to be not practicing. Lampkin had suffered knee and ankle injuries with the Rams.
We’ll learn later this afternoon whether the two players waived, OL Trevor Keegan and S Tristin McCollum, cleared waivers. Update: McCollum was claimed by the Las Vegas Raiders.
Also, despite a report that the Eagles had signed former Broncos RB Audric Estime, there was no sign of Estime at practice.

Eagles S Andrew Mukuba is still dealing with a hamstring that has him sidelined from practice.

WR Terrace Marshall: No. 82 (was 46)
WR Britain Covey: No. 85 (new addition)
TE Cameron Latu: No. 87 (was 49)
News, Notes
Covey spent the summer with the Los Angeles Rams but fell short of making the final roster. Originally an undrafted free agent signing of the Eagles in 2022, Covey appeared in 38 games over his three years of service, predominately serving as the team’s punt returner. In 2023, Covey averaged 14.4 yards per return. The 27-year-old was limited to just five games last season due to a neck injury that ultimately landed him on Injured Reserve on Dec. 28. With the Eagles absent of a definitive answer at punt returner, Covey could be someone to keep an eye on when it comes to game day elevations.
Rookie OT Luke Felix-Fualalo (6-7, 318) replaces Laekin Vakalahi as the team’s international exemption. Felix-Fualalo attended the Seahawks’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis and spent the summer with the team. During the preseason, Felix-Fualalo recorded the Seahawks’ second-highest pass-block grade, according to Pro Football Focus. He was first among the Seahawks group of offensive tackles.
Born in Brisbane, Australia, Felix-Fualalo began playing football as a junior in high school (Mater Dei High School) when he moved to California. He started his collegiate career at Utah and finished at Hawaii.
