Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will practice Wednesday, head coach Nick Sirianni confirmed in his press conference as the team prepares for its NFC Wild Card showdown on Sunday against the Packers.

“He’ll be out there today,” Sirianni said.

GETTY IMAGES: QB Jalen Hurts (concussion) will practice with the Eagles in prep for Wild Card game vs. Packers.

Hurts will practice for the first time since sustaining a concussion in Week 17 against the Commanders on Dec. 22 and participate in his first team practice since Dec. 20.

He and backup Kenny Pickett, who’s nursing an injury to his ribs, both sat out of Sunday’s season finale against the Giants, a 20-13 Eagles win started by third-string quarterback Tanner McKee.

Sirianni didn’t reveal if Hurts, who is also dealing with a broken left finger, had already been cleared by an independent neurologist – the final hurdle of the NFL’s mandated concussion protocol before a player can return to game action – or which of the latter stages of the protocol that Hurts is currently in, but the quarterback’s presence at the team’s first practice of the week points to Hurts starting against the Packers on Sunday barring any setbacks.

Regarding Hurts’ broken left finger, Sirianni said the injury is “continuing to get better.”
