ITB: Eagles Front Office Coming Together at Start of Camp
Training camp has officially arrived for the Philadelphia Eagles as the organization fills in the remaining holes in its front office.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Adam Caplan and Geoff Mosher provided intel on the front office shuffling and the first week of training camp.

Front Office
Adam Caplan: “They have had a big budget cut in spending in terms of their scouting department. Some guys are just not going to be replaced.”
Joe Douglas
Caplan: “His title is senior personnel director and advisor to Howie (Roseman). The Eagles really stepped it up to make sure he got him. This was done rather quickly…He can do pro, college, or both.”
Geoff Mosher: “There’s a lot of asset that he brings back. He brought in some really good personnel from Baltimore. He brought Ian Cunningham and Andy Weidl to the organization, these are two assistant GMs right now.”
Training Camp
Mosher: “There’s a ramp up, acceleration period. That’s the way it works in the NFL now. The Eagles aren’t the only one in ramping up to that point where you want to get into the pads, which might be in the following week, is really what they have found is best for the bodies.”
Caplan: “Jeff Miller, who oversees health and safety [for the NFL], they get data from every team. Their data shows that the first week the players are back when they have the most injuries. Strains and sprains.”
Acclimation Period
Caplan: “Early on, they focus on fundamentals; conditioning, a lot of individual drills. Sort of like 7-on-7. It’s basically an extension of OTAs.”
