ITB: Could Eagles Look to Trade for EDGE?
The Philadelphia Eagles selectively addressed certain positions in the opening days of free agency, but plenty of needs remain.
On the latest episode of “Inside The Birds,” Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan evaluated the state of the team after the first week of free agency.

Jonathan Greenard
Geoff Mosher: “Howie (Roseman) is going to have to get creative here on the trade market, maybe Jonathan Greenard with the Vikings or something…I’m struggling to see, if you don’t trade for him, where do you go? Right now it seems thin for a team that really needs an edge rusher.”
Adam Caplan: “If it’s not Jonathan Greenard, who’s underpaid at $19 million per season, I don’t know where they’re getting one. The Vikings have gotten their cap situation straightened out, so they don’t have to trade him.”
Dallas Goedert
Caplan: “I would be very surprised if we don’t have a resolution by the end of the weekend where he’s going to sign, whether back to Philly.”
Mosher: “The Eagles at tight end are either going to figure it out with Dallas Goedert, and then your room is going to look like Goedert, (Grant) Calcaterra, (Johnny) Mundt, and Cam Latu. And then they for sure are going to draft somebody. So it looks okay there.”
Riq Woolen
Caplan: “He was looking like a superstar in year one…He did play with an injury year two. The regression started year three in 2024 and the bottom dropped out…Sometimes a change of scenery can help a player.”
Mosher: “There’s such a high ceiling, but there’s also a low floor for him if he does not correct some of the things that have plagued him…I spoke to a personnel person who’s job was to watch his tape for free agency for his team. With Woolen, he is way too penalty-prone. He led the Seahawks in penalties. When cornerbacks lead your team in penalties, that’s bad for your defense.”
Offensive Line
Caplan: “They need two veteran offensive linemen. Right now, your backups are Cam Williams who played one game, Willie Lampkin who was on injured reserve, Drew Kendall who I had a college scout tell me he’s not a guard, and Myles Hinton who has not played.”
Mosher: “The reason why you need these veterans is not only were they banged up last year, now Landon Dickerson is the latest to go to Colombia to try to get treatment.”
