Dolphins Reel In Patullo

Former Birds OC Lands In Miami

by

Kevin Patullo has landed gracefully on his feet. According to a report from NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo, the embattled former Eagles offensive coordinator will join the Miami Dolphins staff in the role of pass game coordinator.

Garafolo also reported that Patullo spoke to “multiple teams” regarding assistant roles and will aid Dolphins first-year head coach Jeff Hafley with some of the head-coaching duties, as he did for Nick Sirianni during his five-year tenure in Philadelphia.

Patullo, who was ejected from his position shortly after the Eagles’ season came to a screeching halt, remained on staff despite his title removal, though it would have been difficult to fathom Patullo remaining with the Eagles in 2026 — in any capacity. The Eagles’ offense grossly underwhelmed in 2025 — the Eagles finished 24th in total offense and slotted in toward the league’s bottom tier in other categories — but the incessant venom spewed in Patullo’s direction crossed the line of excess and was, at times, misguided.

The offense fell flat for myriad reasons, play-calling included, but it was Patullo who became scapegoated for the team’s offensive shortcomings. In Miami, Patullo will now be afforded the opportunity of a fresh start.

Patullo, who for three seasons worked under Nick Sirianni in Indianapolis, came to Philadelphia with Sirianni in 2021 to serve as the pass game coordinator, and would ultimately add associate head coach to his title for two seasons (2023-24). He was appointed to the role of offensive coordinator last offseason.

Replacing Patullo is Sean Mannion, a fast-rising wunderkind expected to considerably reimagine and modernize the Eagles’ offense. The winds of change suggest a major philosophical shift is coming, though it’s worth pointing out much of the same was forecasted when Kellen Moore was inserted into the role after the 2023 season.

While the extent of those changes have yet to be determined, the offensive staff has begun to come into focus.

Along with Mannion, former Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard is on board as the pass game coordinator, while Ryan Mahaffey comes over from Green Bay to assume the role of run game coordinator/tight ends coach. Chris Kuper on Monday was hired to become the team’s next offensive line coach, replacing the iconic Jeff Stoutland.

Veteran holdovers Jemal Singleton and Aaron Moorehead have been retained for 2026, confirmed by a league source. The news was first reported by Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Singleton’s held the title of assistant head coach/running backs coach since joining Sirianni’s initial staff in 2021. Moorehead joined the Eagles as wide receivers coach in 2020 and was retained under Sirianni. Both coaches have drawn positive endorsements from players and add an element of familiarity to a new-look staff.
