With Cam Jurgens Sidelined Again, Brett Toth Returns To Center
PHILADELPHIA – On the heels of their eighth win of the season, the Eagles returned to practice Wednesday, kicking off a week of preparation ahead of an NFC East clash with the Dallas Cowboys.
During the media-attended portion of practice, there was no sign of center Cam Jurgens, who exited Sunday’s game early with an undisclosed injury, giving way to veteran Brett Toth, who played the final 11 offensive snaps. Right tackle Lane Johnson was also nowhere to be found. Johnson suffered a Lis Franc injury, with the initial timeline for return reported to be between 4-to-6 weeks.
The official injury report will be revealed later today.

With Cam Jurgens (51) out of practice again, backup center Brett Toth (64) could be poised to start vs. Dallas.
Another accolade for Davis
Days after logging three pass deflections across 29 defensive snaps, Eagles defensive tackle Jordan Davis earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Davis is the first player in the NFL this season to win NFC Defensive Player of the Week and Special teams Player of the Week. He’s also the first Eagles player in a season to earn both accolades.
Back in Week 3, Davis blocked a last-second Joshua Karty field goal attempt before returning it 61 yards for a touchdown.
On the season, Davis has logged 34 tackles (four for loss), three sacks and four quarterback hits over 10 games. His 391 defensive snaps (60%) – Davis in 17 regular season games last season played 388 – is a career high.
Practice window opened for Eagles rookie
In light of the Lis Franc injury sustained by RT Lane Johnson, the Eagles on Wednesday opened the 21-day practice window for rookie T Myles Hinton.
Hinton, placed on injured reserve when the initial roster was trimmed to 53 players, had seemingly been trending in a positive direction, as he was consistently working on a side field during practice along with fellow rookie T Cameron Williams.
With Johnson sidelined, and Fred Johnson now assuming a starting role, the Eagles have just veterans Matt Pryor and Brett Toth, along with rookie Drew Kendall as depth.
