Lane Johnson, Off-Ball LBs Seen At Practice
PHILADELPHIA – The Eagles took the practice field Thursday afternoon for their second practice of the week. The team will practice Friday at the NovaCare Complex and head to Tampa a day early in anticipation of their Sunday afternoon showdown with the Buccaneers.
In injury related news, RT Lane Johnson (stinger) was practicing in some capacity for the second consecutive day. Johnson was listed as limited in the week’s initial injury report.
LBs Zack Baun (knee) and Jihaad Campbell (triceps) participated in some capacity. Baun shed the hefty brace on his left leg from Wednesday in exchange for a black compression sleeve. Campbell was sporting a brace on his left arm. Both of the Eagles’ starting off-ball linebackers took part in individual drills.

As for CB Adoree’ Jackson, the veteran defensive back wore a helmet during team stretches and afterwards broke off with fellow corner Quinyon Mitchell to work with defensive backs coach Christian Parker. We’ll see what the injury report indicates later today, but Jackson looked to be a limited participant.
Jakorian Bennett (unknown) was placed on Injured Reserve earlier this week, so if Jackson is unable to play Sunday, that would mean third-year pro Kelee Ringo would be next in line to start opposite Mitchell.
In other news, recently claimed WR/RS Xavier Gipson was returning punts with the other returners that included WRs Jahan Dotson and Britian Covey, along with DB Cooper DeJean.
RB Will Shipley (oblique) was listed as a full participant Wednesday and full-go once again, so presumably, he’ll resume his role returning kicks Sunday. In light of Sunday’s kick return struggles, I’m curious to see if Gipson is immediately active or whether Tank Bigsby or John Metchie III are given a longer leash.
