Eagles Sign Another Draft Pick, Lose Another Scouting Exec
The Eagles on Thursday announced the signing of defensive tackle Ty Robinson, a 2025 fourth-round pick, inking seven of the team’s 10 draft picks ahead of OTAs later this month. Only first-round pick Jihaad Campbell, second-round pick Drew Mukuba, and sixth-round pick Cameron Williams remained unsigned.
Robinson, who appeared in 60 games at Nebraska, logged 12 sacks – including a career-high seven in 2024 – to go along with 27 tackles for loss over his six seasons. As a rookie, the uber-physical and multifaceted Robinson is expected to contribute in a rotational capacity, joining a contingent that includes Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo.

While impossible to forecast Robinson’s snap share, perhaps a reasonable barometer might hover around the 35% mark, akin to Ojomo’s 2024 contributions. Robinson took to social media to express his excitement.

In other Eagles news, the team lost another top scouting executive to the Raiders as Brandon Hunt, Senior Director of Scouting, was announced as the new Vice President of Player Personnel for Las Vegas.
This marks the second time in as many weeks the Eagles have lost a key component of Howie Roseman’s front office, the first being Senior Director of College Scouting Anthony Patch, who now holds the title of Senior Personnel Executive under new Raiders general manager Jon Spytek, a former Eagles scout.
Hunt, a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, is a distinguished evaluator who has worn several hats since joining the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2005 as a front office intern.
His 20-year stint as an evaluator also included a three-year stint sandwiched between two tours of duty with the Steelers. I frequently crossed paths with Hunt during my annual Pro Day tours, most recently at the University of Maryland.
