New Additions
Birds Sign CB, EDGE, TE; Add New Coach
The Eagles on Thursday once again did some bargain shopping in free agency, this time adding to their pass rush and secondary along the offense.
The team announced a one-year deal for Josh Uche, a 2020 second-r0und pick of the Patriots who was traded last season from New England to the Chiefs but was inactive throughout the postseason run, and also a one-year deal for tight Harrison Bryant, a former Browns and Raiders player whose known for his blocking.
They also reportedly are bringing in veteran cornerback Adoree Jackson, a former Titans and Giants cornerback who has 97 career starts but started just five games last year for the Giants.
Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz first reported the Jackson signing.

The 29-year-old corner has played eight seasons in the NFL and started 82 games since being drafted in the first round of the 2017 draft. He has four career interceptions.
Jackson gives the Eagles some depth to offset the losses of Darius Slay and Isaiah Rodgers in free agency.
Uche, 26, joins an Eagles edge group that has just lost Josh Sweat in free agency and is likely to lose Brandon Graham to retirement but has a young, emerging tandem in Nolan Smith and Jalyx Hunt.

For now, the Eagles also have Bryce Huff entering the second year of his big free-agent deal but Huff, like Uche in New England, made minimal impact and his future with the Eagles is unclear.
Uche, a Michigan product, has 20.4 sacks in 64 career games and just four starts. He broke out for 11.5 sacks in 2022, which accounts for more than half of his career total.
The 6-foot-1, 240-pound edge had no sacks, no tackles for a loss and no quarterback hits last year, playing seven games for the Patriots before being deal to Kansas City.
With the Chiefs, Uche played just 36 snaps in his first five games and was inactive for the next four games before suiting up to play in a meaningless season finale.
Birds Add Coach
The Eagles have filled their opening for an offensive assistant, reportedly hiring a member of the University of Georgia coaching staff.
Montgomery VanGorder, formerly an assistant quarterbacks coach for the Bulldogs, will join the Eagles’ staff, per CBS Sports.

VanGorder replaces Kyle Valero, who left the Eagles to join Kellen Moore in New Orleans.
Stoll To Saints
Jack Stoll, a backup Eagles tight end who also played for the Dolphins, agreed to a deal with the New Orleans Saints and reunites with Kellen Moore, per the NFL Network.
Stoll signed with the Eagles out of Nebraska in 2022 as an undrafted free agent and spent his first three seasons with the Eagles before becoming a restricted free agent and signing with the Giants.
After failing to make the Giants, Stoll came back to the Eagles and played seven games before being released and signing with Miami.
